About Telegraph Community Choir
Community Choir South East London, SE London Choir

Telegraph Community Choir is a group of enthusiastic singers. We meet once a week on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9pm. We sing lots of rounds, and harmonies, on folk songs, sea shanties, pop , African and world folk, in fact, any songs with heart and soul.

We are very mixed bunch, some of us have not sung since childhood, others are more seasoned singers.

Community Choir South East London - Cartoon Our leader, Lizzie, has worked in music all her life, and sings professionally. She is also a music teacher, workshop leader, and songwriter. One of her songs was recently short listed in a big song competition in Scotland, and she has also composed for BBC TV. She has sung on radio 4, and in numerous festivals, from San Francisco to Edinburgh. She has an unusually wide repertoire of music – from the classical world, to jazz, folk, and almost anything with a good tune!

We are a fun, lively group, who welcome new people, we are expanding all the time (hopefully not round the waist-line ) Our ethos is that singing good music together is life enhancing, it build communities, and makes us generally more happy people !

We rehearse in the upstairs room of a friendly pub, with a local feel. It serves good food and great beers, and we perform downstairs too ! We have been invited to sing at various local events.

So do come along.
